Apricot Tree International Documentary Film Festival

Established in 2015, Apricot Tree International Documentary Film Festival is annual event that throughout its editions has been implemented in various villages in Armenia by Filmadaran Film Culture Development NGO. With a diverse international program, consisting of around 35-40 feature-length and short films, the festival screens documentaries of all genres be they ethnographic, animated, anthropological, experimental, hybrids etc. It is the only festival of its kind in the region and one of the few rural film festivals in the world, where participants live for a week and share meals with villagers, directly getting to know each other's worldviews. Made Here Film Festival takes place at Burlington Beer Company in an historic building constructed in 1903 as the North American factory of Auguste and Louis Lumière, the film pioneers often credited with the invention of motion pictures and the first cinematic presentations.
