Film Streams is a nonprofit arts organization in Omaha, Nebraska that specializes in offering screenings and education on film.  The 6th Annual Local Filmmakers Showcase celebrates and screens extraordinary films created in the Midwest region.  After the opening night reception, the showcase runs for a full week at Film Streams' Ruth Sokolof Theater. Join filmmaker Jesse Kreitzer for an evening of short film in addition to gospel, sacred harp and blues performances.  Kreitzer will screen excerpts from his MFA thesis film Black Canaries, along with other Iowa-produced films Lomax and Soul of Ashes.  The evening will also feature performances from Iowa City's Gospel Explosion Ministries and Fairfield-based sacred harp troupe Prairie Harmony.  Suggested donation of $20 per person.  Official Flyer
