ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Entering our 14th year, IFFBoston (Independent Film Festival Boston) has steadily become the premiere festival in New England and developed a noted national reputation for its quality as a regional festival. Ty Burr of the Boston Globe has written of our all volunteer run, non-profit, "The Independent Film Festival Boston has become the major game in town: a smartly programmed and risk-taking festival that balances 'big' indie films with the best in local filmmaking."

IFFBoston showcases approximately 100 films, holds nightly parties, daily panel discussions, and has an awards ceremony where 7 or more prizes are given out at values worth up to $10,000. In 2003 there were 10,000 attendees and 10 sold out shows. By 2015, we'd steadily grown to 23,000 attendees, making IFFBoston the highest attended film festival in New England by a wide margin. IFFBoston's audience continues to grow.
